Despite being a devout lover of all the weird and unnatural, and loving this time of year for all the spooky creepy vibes, I cannot deny that it is still peak cozy season. After going through a bad breakup, Nora finds that she has wondered into another world. A fantasy world at that. This fairytale world feels magical upon arrival but before long the whole facade deteriorates and she finds that things are not what they initially seemed. The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice
Donna Kauffman, Kate Angell, and Allyson Charles
Moonbright Maine is a small New England town and Halloween happens to be their favorite holiday. I mean they go all out, full parades and other festivities. In this town there happens to be this little bakeshop. The Bakeshop at Pumpkin and Spice aside from making good pastries, also make these somewhat “magical” cookies that make people fall in love. This book follows three different stories (written by 3 different authors) of people who are effected by these cookies. Shop Now
The Hobbit
J.R.R. Tolkien
I don’t think I have to go into a huge expository as to why this is maybe the epitome of a cozy read. Maybe it’s me but fantasy 9.9/10 always feels cozy. If you’re looking for a cozy fantasy and to read a fun adventure full of hobbits, dwarves, wizards and dragons, here you go. It’s full of atmosphere and amazing adventures in middle earth. Shop Now

Meik Wiking
Obviously, this was widely popular a few years ago but whether or not you’ve already read it this is the perfect book to not only feel cozy while reading but to bring full coziness into your home, environment and self. Hygge is the danish way of being cozy essentially. So if you’re wanting to feel all the coziness this season with practical things to try this is your book. And it’s always fun to learn about the traditions and cultures of other countries. Shop Now
Tales from the Hinterland
Melissa Albert
This is a collection of fairytale style stories full of illustrations (so in other words ultra cozy magical vibes). If you’re familiar with The Hazel Wood books (or not that’s cool too), the main character’s grandmother is actually a well known author. She is known for writing stories about this place called the Hinterland. And this book, Tales from the Hinterland, is the book that her grandmother actually wrote (I mean not in real life but you get it.) Shop Now
The Night Circus
Morgan Morgenstern
A magical circus appears out of nowhere around the world. People love it. But what people don’t know is that there’s a lot more going on than what meets the eye. This isn’t just a circus but it’s the stage of a magical competition. The book follows a young boy and girl who grow up throughout the duration of the novel. They are actually contestants in this competition and they don’t know much about what they’re supposed to be doing, the one thing that they do know though is that they are opponents. Shop Now
The Midnight Library
Matt Haig
I find the premise of this book absolutely fascinating. A woman decides to end her life and ends up in the Midnight Library. The Midnight Library is full of different variations of her life and what would have happened if she had made different choices or done things differently. She is able to choose a different route and insert herself in that alternate life. Shop Now
Autumn
Ali Smith
This is actually the first book in a series. The story follows a younger woman and her friendship with an elderly man. She grew up next-door to him and lost touch over the years but goes to visit him when she finds out he is on his deathbed and they reminisce on their friendship. Shop Now
Serpent and Dove
Shelby Mahurin
This is another fun premise. Want to know what happens when a witch is set to marry a witch hunter? Yeah, sounds like a disaster. These two are polar opposites. A woman who has run away from her coven, who is a witch, and who’s mother was a witch. She’s a badass and kinda does what she wants. He, on the other hand hates witches and is part of a holy brotherhood of sorts. Shop Now
The Ex Hex
Erin Sterling
This next book hasn’t even come out yet (Sept 28th) but I keep seeing it pop up and for you fans of romance it sounds like a pretty fun cozy read for this fall season. People are calling this a paranormal romantic comedy. Vivi is a witch and 9 years ago she went through a breakup and coped with it just like anyone probably would with the small addition of hexing her ex. Years later said ex, Rhys, visits the town again and Vivi realizes her hex might have been a little more disastrous than originally intended. There are a series of calamities in their town, we’re talking murderous toys, angry ghosts and talking cats and they have to team up to break the curse. Shop Now
