Okay, I seriously can’t believe that it’s already time for a December plan with me. But I’m ready (along with a lot of you I’m sure) for 2020 to finally be over. I got an amazing response to last month’s video so I’m here again. For this December Bullet Journal plan with me, I wanted to do something non-traditional compared to usual holiday spreads so I asked you guys over on my Instagram what you wanted to see and you guys wanted a New York City theme.
New York City is probably my favorite city ever. I grew up in New England and about 2 hours out of NYC so I have a ton of memories there. And even though this isn’t a holiday spread exactly, I have a lot of holiday season memories there, it’s still the location for a lot of holiday movies and there’s no denying the holiday season in New York City is pretty amazing.
For this spread, I wanted to incorporate a few creative elements. First, I wanted to draw the Chrysler building because I mean, how freaking iconic is it. You see it and automatically think of New York. Secondly, I wanted to do a bit of an inverted theme playing with black and white. Using my black Tombow brush pen to create darker space and my white gel pen.
Lastly, I really loved doing a cut-out in my last spread so I wanted to bring it back in a new way. It’s super easy but adds some pretty cool dimension. So I used an x-acto knife and created the perfect spot to write down my monthly goals for business, personal development, health, and fun.
What’s your December bullet journal theme?
