Soooo if you read my post about the best resources for your business you know I have a problem with trying out EVERY app, or website or whatever productivity tool. It’s fun for me to test things out, yes, I’m weird. Today I wanted to talk about the best mobile apps for your business I have found that are pretty life-changing. I’m going to try to avoid basic apps that are kind of a given because that won’t be anything groundbreaking.
I’ve talked about time blocking before and tracking your time. I use the Forest app to track my time and at the end of the day see how many solid hours of focused work I had. It’s super helpful to keep myself in check and gauge my productivity time.
Also, bonus, the more time you focus the more coins you collect and then you’re able to buy new tree species. It’s the little things guys.
Okay, I feel like no one uses One Note and I have no idea why? I’ve been using it to organize every aspect of my life since college. I know a lot of people like Evernote and this works really similarly and is basically a virtual binder with notebooks, dividers and pages.
I have an Evernote horror story where all my notes for half a semester of English Lit disappeared right before midterms and I never was able to recover them. Thankfully I still got an A but I still hesitant to use it 5 years later.
Anyways, it’s a great place to keep checklists, organize yourself, take notes etc. One of my favorite features is that instead of just linking PDFs I can have them printed out in my file. Ever wonder how you can store all your freebies? You can keep them all in one place and read them all from one app. So easy for on the go.
So I just learned about Azlo recently. It’s a fully online banking system. When you run your own online business you might not need an in-person bank.
If you aren’t dealing with depositing cash and checks and take payments online this will help you so much. Everything is simple and it’s super easy to apply. You get a debit card and simple user-friendly interface.
If you want you can even send invoices so having that all in one place is a great timesaver.
If you use your phone a lot and even more if it is a hub of activity for your business save yourself the embarrassment of typos and all that other stuff and get the Grammarly keyboard extension.
Now, disclaimer it isn’t entirely foolproof, things can still happen but it helps a lot for those little things your standard phone doesn’t catch.
It literally takes two seconds to set up. Now I can write emails and engage on Instagram without being paranoid. Yay!
If photography plays any role in your business you need Lightroom. Which in the 21st century and with social media it probably does. It’s 100% free which for an Adobe app is so awesome.
You can take pictures in lightroom and edit them with a full set of detailed pro-photographer settings.
If you use Lightroom on your computer too you can have your images shared to the cloud and access from both locations. Also, all presets that you purchase are accessible on mobile too which makes editing so quick and easy.
These are just a few more apps for your business that are kinda standard but I thought I would mention them just so you have the full deal on what’s on my phone.
I definitely want to hear what apps you use for your business. Let me know!
